KAM Consultants is an environmental consulting firm with an in-house laboratory specializing in lead, asbestos, and metal analysis.With over three decades of experience, we are committed to environmental safety and regulatory compliance, providing accurate, reliable testing services with rapid turnaround times. Our in-house laboratory supports projects across all five boroughs of New York City and parts of New Jersey.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead our environmental testing operations, with a focus on lead and asbestos analysis.
This role is for someone with prior laboratory management experience and strong organizational and operational skills, and the ability to effectively manage both people and processes. The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to quality control standards, and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
This is a hands-on leadership role that balances technical oversight with team and operational management. While maintaining a strong understanding of laboratory workflows and analytical methods, this individual will play a key role in coordinating across teams, supporting staff, and driving efficient, organized operations. The role will also involve direct engagement with laboratory work as needed, including reviewing and supporting sample analysis, to maintain a strong understanding of overall lab processes.
The ideal candidate brings a strong scientific background along with demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. They are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working cross-functionally while guiding a team in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:
Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 per year (commensurate with experience), plus potential signing bonus
Status: Full Time/Part Time
